You probably have a lot of questions, so here's a list that may help. But if you still have some more, don't hesitate to send an email to us at: support@razoo.com
Twive and Receive is a giving day organized by Razoo.com for online users to come together and raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits within 24 hours, starting at 12AM Pacific Time (3AM Eastern Time) on June 14th through 12AM Pacific Time (3AM Eastern Time) on June 15th. By engaging thousands of people to support great local charities on one day, Twive and Receive is trying to unify Twitter's strong community towards a day of charitable action.
Twive and Receive is an innovative event that provides a new way for people to give locally while competing nationally, and creates a stronger nonprofit community on all levels. Americans have a long tradition of giving and this event celebrates generosity.
The Twive and Receive site is very easy to use. Donors can simply visit the site (www.twiveandreceive.org), and use the search function to either browse for participating organizations of their interest or find a specific participating organization of their choice to make a donation.
Offline donations, donations made on Razoo.com, and donations made before or after the hours of the contest as specified above do not count towards Twive and Receive awards.
All IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organizations are listed in the Razoo.com database. If your organization is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) and is not listed in our database, please send us your letter of determination from the IRS via email np@razoo.com or fax (1-866-322-1722).
We believe this will drive more giving for the featured nonprofits. Twive and Receive's search function helps nonprofits of all sizes reach thousands of new potential donors.
Fun and compelling campaigns challenge new givers and inspire current givers to donate even more. People like to see where their donations are going, how they will be used, and what impact they can have. This site brings this all into one easy, convenient place.
Twive and Receive will provide funding for nonprofits during tough economic times, and help them engage with millennial and other digital savvy donors. Twive and Receive will encourage civic pride, help local causes rally their constituents, find new donors, and heighten their stature nationally as caring, community-oriented cities.
Many nonprofits have limited bandwidth to really embrace all that online giving has to offer. Social media is becoming a successful tool for nonprofits to reach new donors, spread awareness, and fundraise. Twive and Receive provides nonprofits with a venue for reaching, connecting with and engaging new supporters. The Razoo platform helps nonprofits by providing an easy way to collect and track online donations.
Direct mail is a traditional way to bring in new donors, and it costs $1.25 to bring in that first dollar from a new donor through direct mail. With an average cost of $.07 to bring in that first dollar from a new donor, online giving promises to be a much more cost-efficient tool, in addition to helping nonprofits get in front of new donors.

Razoo is more than a website. It is a movement of people who want to make generosity a part of everyday life. Razoo was founded in 2007 because we believed technology could democratize philanthropy and help anyone be a philanthropist. We believe the act of giving benefits the donor as much as the recipient—if not more—so we endeavor to close the gap between the desire to give and the ability to give, for as many people as possible.
Razoo.com offers easy-to-use fundraising tools to individuals and organizations, helping fundraisers to connect their friends and family with the joy of giving. For more information about Razoo, visit our website: www.razoo.com.
It is possible for more than one person to claim administrative access so they may change and edit an organization's Twive and Receive page. To do this, each person must complete the same process as the original administrator and be verified by Razoo. Every person who has claimed administrative access will receive e-mails about updates to their page.
It is Razoo Foundation’s normal practice to regrant 97.1% of a donor-advised contribution to the qualifying IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization advised by the donor, and to retain 2.9% for Razoo Foundation’s expenses (including credit card transaction costs). Please review Razoo’s Terms of Use for more information.
This low, flat rate of 2.9% will be subtracted from the nonprofit’s check. We are able to offer this great low rate thanks to Razoo Foundation’s partnership with U.S. Bank, which waives select fees associated with processing credit and debit cards. This rate is the lowest of any social media enabled online fundraising platform, beating out similar platforms at Causes, Crowdrise, Firstgiving, and Fundly.

Only donations processed on the participating nonprofit’s Twive and Receive fundraising page between 12AM Pacific Time (3AM Eastern Time) on June 14th through 12AM Pacific Time (3AM Eastern Time) on June 15th will be eligible for awards. So, unless the grantor fulfills the match by donating on the participating nonprofit’s Twive and Receive fundraising page during the specified contest times, the grant will not count toward donation totals and prize eligibility.
Also note that if you secure a matching grant, you will be responsible to communicate with the grantor about the fulfillment of the grant. Matching grants are a great way to leverage the generosity of a larger donor to create urgency among other supporters to make their donations count for more.
It's easy to add information about your matching grant to your nonprofit’s Twive and Receive fundraising page on Razoo.com. It involves a few simple steps so we prepared this video to walk you through the process.
You can discuss this directly with the person or foundation that is providing the matching funds. The use of matching funds is an agreement between the organization and the person or foundation that is providing the matching grant. Please note that all donations made through Twive and Receive are final and non-refundable in accordance with the Terms of Use found on Razoo.com.
When signing up for a free Razoo account, each user of the site is given the opportunity to opt in to receive the news from Razoo and its partners. Razoo retains all donor information and only shares non-anonymous donor information with the designated NPO.
All donations made to your organization during Twive and Receive will be distributed by check or by electronic funds transfer (EFT) on or around July 10th, 2012. The Razoo Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, will disburse the funds. Please double check the address on your Twive and Receive page to make sure it is correct to ensure that you receive the payment. Please contact support@razoo.com if you need to change your organization's name or address or set up an EFT.
Twive and Receive logos can be downloaded for your publications, promotions, and other related public relations documents or electronic communication by visiting the Toolkit page.
The Razoo platform has several social networking tools built into the fundraising pages for donors to tell their friends about their donation through Twitter, Facebook, or email. Nonprofits can make the most of their Twive and Receive fundraising page by using these social networks as well. We've developed a series of outreach tools to discuss best practices with individual fundraisers—teleconference calls and UStreams. You can see a list of these resources in the Toolkit.
You're encouraged to post news and updates on your own Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google+, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages. You can post about special events or promotions you are having that are unique to your city’s effort, the matching grants you have secured, or asking your donors to share their giving stories.
