We promote food and farming systems that sustain farm families, the environment, and community health in the Chesapeake region. Part of that work is educating farmers about the latest in sustainable farming techniques and issues related to sustainable food production.

The interest among young people and career-changers in becoming full-time sustainable farmers is exciting, but sometimes new farmers need a little help getting started. Our annual Farming for Profit and Stewardship Conference is a great place for beginning farmers to meet and learn from other farmers. Your donation will help us provide scholarships for beginning farmers who otherwise lack the financial resources to attend, but will benefit greatly from the experience. Larger donations can support our year-long Beginner Farmer Training Program in more substantial ways.
